Conclusion: This rare, original Tamiya Hotshot II kit is complete. This kit came to me with the box in the condition you see – there is a flaw at one corner (a tear), however the other four corners are fine, and the colours are nice and bright. Inside, all parts are included and everything is mint and original. Priced according to rarity, condition, demand, and past examples that have sold.

History
The Tamiya Hotshot II followed the success of the famous Tamiya Hotshot, a couple of years after the original’s release. It saw the original Hotshot platform receive several upgrades – such as dual CVA rear shock absorbers, and a revised chassis with a mechanism opening (for easier service). Elsewhere, the iconic Hotshot profile was largely retained but with a suggested new black colour scheme, a larger polycarbonate body, and a range of gold-hued decals. Every bit a match (or more) for the original, the Hotshot II was produced in fewer numbers and remains scarcer today.
