Conclusion: This Shinsei Honda 4Trax is in excellent condition. The rear ‘luggage’ weight is designed to be a clip-on novelty weight that enables the quad to pop ‘wheelies’, and while it is included here, part of the clip to attach it to the vehicle is broken – meaning, it doesn’t stay securely on the vehicle. This simply means you drive the vehicle normally (without it being prone to popping wheelies), which is honestly more fun anyway. And apart from that, the entire vehicle is near mint – barely any marks on the underside. Barely used. Mint decals. Mint tyres. Box and paperwork included. And it runs like new. A truly gorgeous example of this classic, and amazingly realistic-looking R/C model from the 1980s. Priced according to rarity, condition and past examples that have sold.

The Shinsei Honda 4Trax was one of three amazing “Quad bike” R/C models released by this high quality Japanese R/C toy maker in the 1980s. The other two were trikes, with the “Dust Runner” being by far the most well known. But the Honda 4Trax could arguably be the most beautiful of these R/C toys. Made with high quality materials, and with amazing attention to detail, the Honda 4Trax features digital proportional control, superb rubber tyres, and a detachable rear luggage box that acts as a little weight to encourage the bike to do wheelies. Smooth, life-like performance, and perhaps the nicest, most authentic looking R/C quad bike ever made.
