– Front tyres are 100% brand new. Rear tyres are 75%, with some wear. No cracking.
Conclusion: Overall, stunning example of the Taiyo Aero Jet Hopper, in a virtually flawless box. The car itself is truly mint, spotless, brand new. Front tyres are mint. But the rear tyres fitted have some wear, and I’d rate them 75%. Still perfectly good for running. Priced for quick sale – way below the value of one with fully brand new tyres, and yet this is still a sparkling, brand new Aero Jet Hopper in every other way, including the best box you’ll ever find.

History
The Taiyo Aero Jet Hopper was Taiyo’s “Aero” styled evolution of the Jet Hopper, and was released in 1987. It was branded both Tyco and Taiyo in the USA, Metro and Taiyo in Australia, Dickie and Taiyo in Europe, and just plain Taiyo elsewhere. Continuing the immense success of the Jet Hopper, this model used the same platform as the Jet Hopper Mk3 variant, thus it had low-profile block pattern tyres and a top speed of 27Km/H. With two gear speeds, responsive steering and solid suspension, and a more aerodynamic shape it was a fantastic evolution to the Jet Hopper line at a time in the late 1980s when the whole R/C toy industry was moving toward sleeker, more futuristic designs.
