Conclusion: A brand new Tyco / Taiyo 9.6v Twin Turbo Lamborghini Countach. Rare in any condition, ultra rare in new in box condition. Featuring twin motors and a top speed of 31Km/h. This one is unused, and flawless. The box has minor wear, and one polystyrene insert inside the box is missing. But otherwise, everything is as new. One of the most famous Tyco R/C releases, still new in box. Amazingly good-looking model, and you probably won’t find a better one. Priced according to rarity, condition, demand, and past examples that have sold.

History
Capable of up to 31Km/h, the Tyco / Taiyo 9.6v Twin-Turbo Lamborghini Countach was essentially the equal-fastest R/C car ever manufactured by Taiyo (along with a Ferrari version and some Indy cars that shared the same chassis), but it was the Lamborghini which caught most people’s attention. The real Lamborghini Countach was the stuff of dreams in the 1980s, particularly the LP500S, as depicted here. Taiyo’s robust and versatile ready-to-run R/C rendition of the iconic supercar was a huge hit too, as it managed to be both a practical 1/12 scale on-road racer (with decent ground clearance), and a faithful reproduction of the real thing. Complete with two-speeds, differential, suspension, and “turbo” function, the Lamborghini Countach was great fun and even able to keep pace with some of the kit-based R/C models of the 1980s. Today it is one of the most sought-after R/C cars made by Taiyo, both in Taiyo (Japan/Europe) branding, or in the Tyco (USA) branding.
