Description

This Taiyo Jet Hopper is in excellent, used, but very clean condition and comes complete with transmitter and original box.

It has been gently tested and is in perfect working order – and it goes like a rocket. You’ll be hard pressed to find one that runs better. It is highly responsive and runs like new. The car and remote are both very clean as you can see from the photos. The tyres are in great shape as well, with only minimal wear and absolutely no cracking or perishing. The decals are mostly complete, and the car is in very good cosmetic shape. All FOUR headlights are present, unlike many others as the headlights often go missing. There are no cracks or breakages whatsoever. The battery compartments are clean, with zero corrosion. The original box is included too, and it has wear (as does the polystyrene box) but it holds together well.

This is an original, authentic Jet Hopper, manufactured by Taiyo – not a fake or knock-off.
Please see the photos to understand the condition. Feel free to contact me to find out more.

History

The Taiyo Jet Hopper is of course, one of the most famous R/C toys ever made. It was first released by Taiyo in about 1985 or 1986, and subsequently found it’s way around the world. It was branded both Tyco and Taiyo in the USA, Metro and Taiyo in Australia, Dickie and Taiyo in Europe, and just plain Taiyo elsewhere. It is possibly the biggest selling R/C model ever – although figures are hard to confirm. But the scale of it’s popularity during the mid 1980s was phenomenal. One confirmed figure is that 280,000 Jet Hoppers were sold in Australia alone, during 1986 and 1987.
