Description

This Nikko Off Road Tiger is complete and in truly excellent condition. The only flaws are that the transmitter aerial tip is missing it’s knob. And the car itself has scuffs underneath.

Aside from those aspects, the car is incredibly clean and was used only minimally. The tyres have no defects, and the tread level is near new. The decals are complete, and there is very little wear anywhere on the car. It comes complete with the headlight/bumper bar piece, and the roof lights – which I have kept safely in separate little bags. There is nothing missing from the vehicle.

The car also runs perfectly, like new. The 3 speed transmission and working headlights also operate as new.

The box is also excellent with bright artwork, and only minor edge wear. It also includes the original manual and inserts.

The Nikko Off Road Tiger is a rare model in any condition, but finding one this nice is always going to be difficult. Truly worthy of shelf display. Don’t miss out.

Please see the photos to understand the condition. Feel free to contact me to find out more.

History

The Nikko Off Road Tiger was first released in 1983 and is a highly realistic 2WD yellow R/C dune buggy from Nikko’s early era of superbly made, and attractive ready to run R/C vehicles. At 1/10 scale, this is one of the largest models they made, and it came equipped with working headlights and a versatile 3 speed transmission switchable via a lever in the rear tray. The vehicle also has digital proportional control and working suspension, making it quite advanced and expensive for it’s time. It’s an R/C car from the era before all the ‘winged’ R/C buggies, when the dominant style was the VW based beach buggy vehicle. And along with it’s sister vehicle the “Sand Eagle”, it was one of the first ready-to-run R/C toys that you could actually take for light off-road driving.
