Description
There is no transmitter included with this item.
This is a brand new in box, original Taiyo Fast Traxx from 1990. The item is mint in box – absolutely brand new. But there is no transmitter included. You can either pick one up later on eBay, or if you already have a 40MHz Fast Traxx transmitter – then this is an extremely cheap way to get hold of an absolutely mint in box original Taiyo Fast Traxx.
The box itself is pretty good, but has some wear and a crack in the plastic window. The car itself is mint.
This car takes the 9.6v Battery Pack, or can be run on 8 x AA batteries (a special optional battery tray is included so you can power it either way – each method delivers the exact same voltage and power of course)
Truly a showpiece for your vintage RC collection. Don’t miss this chance to get a mint Fast Traxx.
Please see the photos to understand the condition. Feel free to contact me to find out more.
History
The Taiyo Fast Traxx was first released in Japan in 1990, and was a hugely popular model for R/C manufacturer Taiyo. Sold under both the Taiyo and Tyco brand in the USA (but mostly just Taiyo elsewhere), it was one of many superb R/C toys they manufactured during their golden years of the late 1980s, and early1990s. The Fast Traxx revolutionized the concept of “tracked” R/C toys (which had previously been slow tanks and crawlers) as here was a tracked vehicle with twin motors and high speed rubber tracks that could move at up to 21km/h. It’s futuristic looks and bright colours capped off another big success for Taiyo, and led them to produce a series of other high-speed tracked vehicles.
