The Nikko Mercedes Rally Unimog is a highly realistic scale R/C model, inspired by the 1982 Paris-Dakar Rally winning Mercedes Unimog. It was made in 1983, and hails from the era when Nikko was making highly realistic, scale R/C models. It is arguably one of Nikko’s finest models ever, and was sold in both a Paris-Dakar Rally guise, and a Polar Expedition version. Featuring 4WD transmission, working differential, working headlights, 2 gear speeds, and a removable rear canopy, it was also a versatile and fun R/C model that looked incredible on the shelf and yet actually worked as well. If you’re a fan of the Paris-Dakar Rally, and you like vintage R/C models, or if you just love Mercedes Unimogs, this Nikko model is a must-have piece.
